Here are the notes I took while I was reading House of Haunts !

-Scrooge mcduck goes in his money bin
-R-day? Moves his money in prep
-moves his money elaborately into catacombs
-r day comes
-robbers day
-beagle boys study in jail
-the beagle boys leave school and prepare the heist of scrooges money bin
- they use their smarts to try to break into the bin they find that there is no money
-scrooge laughs at their lausey attempts
-the wallow in their failures when one boy decides that they should follow scrooge
-they follow scrooge thru his day
- proceeds thru multiple days
- scrooge wants to his money and tries to leave but gets locked in a closet
- the beagle boys feed a saw into the closet window.
-scrooge escapes
- the chemistry major sprays a glowing serum on scrooge as he darts past to see his money
- scrooge leads them right to his money
-they smack him and scrooge forgets what happens and finds himself in a different location
- the boys see that hes escaped the next day
-scrooge walks down the street seeing that the original money bin has been broken into, he panics thinking that his money was stored in there
-the whole family tries to retrace scrooges steps to find his fortune
-the beagle boys go to the catacombs at daylight and they open each door to find each on is a trap
-the family searches for clues in
-scrooges office
- the bank
- the beagle boy stumble across a secret button that traps the whole gang in a cell
- scrooges smells his money as he walks past the old castle
-they find the same fate as the beagle boys
-they cure his amnesia
-scrooge dives in his money
- and the beagle boys are sentenced to more rehabilitation

For week six of our literary comic venture, we focused on the underground comic circuit of the 1960’s. Contrary to comics prior the underground comics movement, post 1950s era,  they included subjects that we usually associate comics with, superheroes, detectives, and such. But containing a fuzzy overarching goal of educating the minds of the prominently youth readership. Comics during these days were created to entertain and to entertain, only. The comics of the time were never made to make a statement on politics or have any other strong opinions about things, while the comics created in the underground circuit were made to talk about the things that the world wasn’t talking about at the time, like drug culture and being LGBTQ, in a time that talking about sexuality wasn’t as a common as it is today. Webcomics

This is the last entry, team! Oh, what a time its been. This last entry will focus on the comics medium of the modern age, webcomics. I am a accustomed to webcomics and I do read them on the weekly, on the app Line Webtoon . This app is for comic creators of all skill levels to share their stories for a very receptive and hungry readership. The creator on the Webtoon platform vary in artistic experience and writing ability, the majority of the content is “reader bait”, in my opinion. The average user of the app is between the age of 13 to 23 and female, a way to grab the majority of the community’s attention is to give the slightest inkling of a love triangle and the webcomic will become overwhelmingly popular, and will be excruciatingly spread out for 90+ chapters, regardless of the quality of the writing and art. Shaun Tan's, The Arrival

Shaun Tan's, The Arrival Shaun Tan’s tale, The Arrival , though wordless, packs all the punch it needs through the story’s visual imagery. Tan’s decision to make the story without dialogue was a large risk in itself, but he lets his illustrations shine and tells the story for him. The most important thing in his situation is to make sure the audience understands what’s happening to the character without knowing what they’re saying, so for the audience to understand a character’s feelings or motivation Tan exaggerates the character’s body language and overall expression. Tan spends multiple frames focusing only on the main character’s changing expressions, such as when the main character is talking to one of the immigration authorities. The scene focuses on the main man explaining to immigration officer why he is immigrating to a different country, the man pulls out a picture of his family and follows the explanation with hand gestures, though the action has no dialogue the...
